Our Dairy Farm
Family-Owned and Operated

We’re a family-owned dairy farm in Hartington, Nebraska, and this place is truly a team effort. With first- and second-generation family members working alongside our wonderful employees each day, Burbach’s Countryside Dairy is built on hard work, pride, and a whole lot of care. We process and bottle our own milk right here on the farm, bringing you classic varieties, featured flavors, and cream we’re proud to put our name on.
We care deeply about our cows, our land, and the people who bring our bottles home. That’s why we use reusable glass bottles and produce our milk without artificial hormones — because around here, doing things the right way still matters.

How It Started

The Beginning
Dean grew up milking cows on his father’s dairy in Hartington, Nebraska. After Dean and Lisa were married in 1994, they built their own milk barn in 1999 and began turning a shared dream into something of their own.

Bottling on the Farm
In 2007, Dean and Lisa decided to take a chance on something new: building a processing and bottling plant right on the farm. They did not have it all figured out, but they believed there was a market for fresh, local milk bottled in glass — and they were willing to learn, work hard, and make that vision real.

Looking Ahead
Today, Burbach’s Countryside Dairy is still powered by family, with the next generation helping guide the dairy into the future. As we grow, we’re holding onto the things that matter most: hard work, fresh milk, reusable glass bottles, and serving our community well.
